The final four teams in the NHL remain and this has been a very interesting Stanley Cup Playoffs. Surprises have continued onward and strong teams have fallen to rivals. The reigning champions have stuck around and an underdog continues to look strong. I'm excited to see these conference finals take off as we're two series away from the finals.
While the Penguins continue to upset my picks, I still have two more chances to underestimate Pittsburgh and not seem them return to the finals. I've been rooting for the Ottawa Senators since I like their logo. I've watched a few of their games and they dispatched the Rangers quick enough to look like a strong team.
Game 1: The Senators take an overtime victory 2-1.
Game 2: The Penguins win in a defensive match 1-0.
Game 3: The Senators blow out the Penguins 5-1 to regain the lead in the series.
Game 4: The Penguins fought off a comeback from the Senators to win 3-2 and tie the series at 2 games.
Game 5: The Penguins smashed the Senators 7-0 to regain the lead.
The Predators are almost a local team for me so I'm rooting for them to go all the way. The Ducks look good and I'm hoping for a competitive series but I'm rooting for Nashville. No other team looks as dominant in this tournament though they've never had home field advantage overall, they still manage to claim victory.
Game 1: The Predators take the first game 3-2 in overtime.
Game 2: The Ducks come from behind to win 5-3 and tie the series.
Game 3: The Predators regain the lead with the benefit of a late penalty winning 2-1.
Game 4: The Ducks take this game in overtime 3-2 to tie the series again.
Game 5: The Predators pull ahead with a 3-1 win.
Game 6: The Predators win the series and advance to the Stanley Cup Finals with a 6-3 win over the Ducks.
