Sports: NFL (Week 4)

Playing catch up with last weekend's games as I was a bit distracted with all the other sports excitement in baseball. NBA Preseason also started though I haven't seen anything or checked the scores afterward. I might do an NBA season preview but that's another sport, back to football. Last week had some exciting games and one result that really pleased me and helped out fantasy teams across the country.

NFC South
I'm pleased to put the Falcons back on top. I was a bit nervous as the Panthers almost mounted a comeback but the impressive performance from Julio Jones and Matt Ryan scored enough touchdown to put them at the top of the division with a 3-1 record. The Saints achieved their first win against the Chargers and the Bucs fell to the Broncos.

NFC East

One of three remaining undefeated teams in the league, the Philadelphia Eagles had a bye this week but stayed atop the East. The Cowboys beat the 49ers in the afternoon game to go up to 3-1. Washington got another win to even their record at 2 wins, 2 losses, the Giants lost to have the same record.

NFC North

The other undefeated team doesn't have their starting quarterback or running back but beat the Giants in primetime Monday night. The Packers have only lost one game but also had a bye week. Chicago and Detroit do not look good this season.

NFC West
The Seahawks and the Rams have stayed tied as the 49ers and the Cardinals have only won once so far. I think Seattle will take this division but Los Angeles's new team could surprise me and did beat Seattle. The Seahawks haven't had much of a challenge yet beating the Jets this week.

AFC West
The Denver Broncos are the only undefeated team in the AFC and leading the West. They play the NFC South this season and have already taken down the Panthers and the Buccaneers this week. They're toughest divisional competition are the impressive Oakland Raiders who are 3-1 after barely beating the Ravens. Kansas City has an even record while Sand Diego has a losing record.

AFC North
The Steelers had their running back Le'Veon Bell return and beat the Chiefs. The Ravens lost their first game and are now tied with Pittsburgh. The Bengals are at 2-2 with a Thursday night win against the Dolphins. Cleveland is suffering and has yet to win.

AFC South
The Texans are the best of the worst division but a win over the Titans has them at 3-1. The Jaguars and the Colts join Tennessee as teams with only one win.

AFC East
The Patriots will get their true starting quarterback back next weekend but the Bills upset them and kept them scoreless before Tom Brady returns. Buffalo rises to two and two, but the Jets and Dolphins aren't putting up much competition at the moment as they are both 1-3.

That's the recap of week 4. Looking forward I'm excited to see if the Falcons are for real when they take on the reigning champs in Denver. The Bengals play the Cowboys, could have consequences. The Vikings and Texans will face off as top teams. It will be an interesting weekend.
