Losses for undefeated teams leave a clear picture of potential college football playoff contenders. Here is was the four contenders look like:
1. Alabama Crimson Tide
The biggest obstacle facing the Tide from rolling to a consecutive championship is a faceoff with their rival the Auburn Tigers at the end of the season. The Florida Gators might also prove a challenge in the SEC Championship but I think that's my bias talking.
2. Michigan Wolverines
Michigan still has to face the Ohio State Buckeyes at the end of the season and could face Nebraska who lost to Wisconsin in the Big 10 championship.
3. Clemson Tigers
The Clemson Tigers survived a nailbiter against the Florida State Seminoles and should have a clear path tot the playoffs since they beat Louisville. Clemson has defeated some tough opponents and should survive from here on out.
4. Washington Huskies
Beating the Utah Utes solidifies Washington's chance of taking the PAC-12 title though they will still have to beat their rivals at Washington State and take home the PAC-12 Championship against what looks like will be Colorado.
The teams that are waiting in the wings ready to pounce on the first upset are the Louisville Cardinals in the ACC, Ohio State Buckeyes in the Big 10 East, Texas A&M Aggies in the SEC West, Wisconsin Badgers and Nebraska Cornhuskers in the Big Ten West, and the Florida Gators in the SEC East.
Games that I'm looking forward to in Week 10 are the LSU Tigers vs. Alabama and Nebraska vs Ohio State. Other games could provide excitement if they is an upset but I'll be tuning in around 8pm for these two games for sure.
