NCAA Men's Basketball: ACC Tournament Preview

The ACC Tournament kicks off tomorrow with two games at noon and 2pm.

The first game is between North Carolina State Wolfpack and Wake Forest Demon Deacons. The two teams have met twice before and split the two meeting both winning their home games. I'm picking NC State in this game but it's anyone's guess as it will be all March Madness. The winner of this game will face off against the Duke Blue Devils who are ranked fifth in the ACC. I think Duke will defeat whoever they face. Duke will continue on to face the former ACC Tournament Champions, The Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

The Florida State Seminoles face off against Boston College Eagles at 2pm. I'm predicting that FSU will take the victory here and move on to face Virginia Tech. FSU could continue on to face Miami but I think their streak could stop there.

In the first of the other two games of the bracket that will begin on the ninth of March, the Pittsburgh Panthers will play the Syracuse Orange at noon. The Orange have lost twice to the Panthers and may take an early exit from the tournament. Pittsburgh won't go far though because they have to face the first place North Carolina Tar Heels.

The second game on the ninth will be between the Clemson Tigers and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. These teams split their season match up so I'm going to let my bias take over here and pick GT. This could be the first pick I really miss but I'll be watching to see since this game is at night. Whoever wins will have to face second place Virginia Cavalier.

So if I follow through with my predictions. I have Duke over Notre Dame to face off against UNC for the top bracket. On the bottom, I'm taking Miami Hurricanes versus the Cavaliers and the Cavs going to face UNC for the championship. This isn't a very risky pick but I'll go ahead and throw a twist in there and choose Virginia to win it all but I wouldn't be surprised if UNC took it too.

This is a close look at the ACC tournament and all the teams participating. I'm so excited for March Madness to get underway!
