Monday, back to work, football at night, new episode of Fargo, and another awesome write-in at a coffee shop I'd never been to before but plan to go to quite often from now on. NaNo shows me some of the greatest places this city has to offer and I meet someone new nearly every time.
My word count keeps climbing, I actually wrote above average today thanks to several word sprints with all my awesome fellow writers and a breakthrough in my plot. I find that if I throw in some monologues with some very verbose characters it helps move the mystery forward and add to my words. Conversations just flow.
My protagonist is getting herself into trouble while my other main character wandered around for a bit before he got back on track. Everything is moving towards a nice middle action scenario during this upcoming middle weekend, I just need to make sure I put all the pieces into place before then and keep the action steady.
In November, I talk about my novel, write my novel and think about my novel most of the day nearly everyday. During the year when I write, I often take a day or two off and don't even think about it during that time so I have to take a while to get back into the swing of things. Right now, I fall right back into the plot and feel that thing that several of my favorite authors have described getting absorbed in the story unfolding on the screen.
I'm feeling positive but I'm tired. Sleep would be nice because I want to get up early and visit another coffee shop I've never been to before. We're at the top of a tower tomorrow too so it's going to be really inspiring!
