Short Story Week Day 2: Teleportation Trials

I shouldn't be writing in here. I should be finishing my story but I promised myself to keep tabs and update my status on this grueling task of writing seven short stories in seven days. One bending of the rule I'm going with is that I don't fail unless day seven comes without seven stories so even though Day 2 ended without the second story complete, as long as I make it up in the next five days, I'm good.
Day 2 was a story between 1,001 and 10,000 words about teleportation. The good thing about this forcing myself to write is forcing myself to think about the story.
I realized that Teleportation Trials had to be a courtroom drama as well as a noir detective mystery so there are flashbacks. I discovered I don't know much about courtroom proceedings. The problem is trying to do research late at night when I can hardly think anymore. I will have to squeeze in some research at some point or just write it however I want and go back after I learn during less stressful time. I did hit the goal of 1,001 words but it doesn't mean anything if I don't have an ending.
Either way, success or failure, this is an awesome idea and I will definitely do it again.
